Building in Public: Andurel, the Course, and What’s Next

Hey,

It’s been about a year since the last update. Here’s what I’ve been building and where I’m headed next.

Andurel | A Rails-Like Framework for Go

Over the past six months, I’ve been building Andurel, a full-stack web framework for Go built around strong conventions and speed.

A big part of its evolution came from aggressive iteration with AI-assisted coding:

Generate. Test. Break. Refactor. Repeat.

Not one-shot prompts. Just constant pressure and refinement until the pieces held up.

Andurel now includes:

  • Code generation
  • Clear conventions
  • Reusable components
  • Enough structure to move fast without fighting the framework

It’s production-proven. I rebuilt an entire platform with it (and this site as well).

Master Fullstack Golang Fully Released

My course on building full-stack web apps in Go is now fully released:

Master Fullstack Golang
https://mastergolang.com

This took much longer than expected.

The biggest mistake was not writing a complete outline before recording. I started with a rough structure and tried to refine it as I went. That cost months. I ended up re-recording large sections and restructuring the flow from scratch.

Now it’s complete and available at an early price of $35.

Rebuilding the Platform in 3 Days

The entire course platform was rebuilt using Andurel.

Because of its generators and conventions, I rebuilt the full app in a few days and kept the codebase clean.

That was the real validation.

Hosting Video with HLS + Cloudflare R2

Instead of using a traditional video platform, I:

  • Encode videos as HLS
  • Store them in Cloudflare R2
  • Avoid egress fees

You pay for storage and ingress, but not traffic going out.

Lower cost. Faster delivery. More control.

For indie builders, that matters.

Recording from a Spanish Apartment

Recording this course in Spain was chaotic.

There were retakes because:

  • The elevator kicked on mid-sentence
  • Neighbors made noise
  • There was actual fire-related chaos nearby one day

A lot of “final takes” weren’t final.

After that, I’m taking a break from heavy video production.

Streaming Instead

I’ve started streaming on Twitch and YouTube.

It’s more relaxed and more interactive. I can write code, explain decisions, and build live without chasing perfect takes.

What’s Next: Deploy Crate

My newest project is Deploy Crate.

The goal is straightforward: make deploying to your own server feel effortless and professional.

It will:

  • Provision and configure your server
  • Secure it properly
  • Set up telemetry and observability
  • Handle updates
  • Remove the ongoing maintenance burden

You bring your own server. You keep control. No platform lock-in.

I've a very simple landing page for it here that I will rework once it's ready for onboarding.

This is my main focus for 2026.

More soon.

Thanks for following along. Now, more building, less talking..
